I was born and grew up in Hanover in the north of Germany. After high school I studied medicine at Witten/Herdecke University in the Ruhr area. Here I also met my future husband. After my studies I moved to Brussels and shortly afterwards my eldest son was born.

I then started training in general medicine at the KU Leuven and at the ICHO. As a HAIO I worked in the St-Jozef Hospital in Mortsel and in a large group practice of "Medicine for the People" in Deurne.

Our family expanded further with a second son and I then started working as a general practitioner in the "Daenshuis" community health center in Aalst.

After a few years, I immersed myself in research projects at the general practitioners association Domus Medica.

In the meantime my third son has also come into the world.

From April 2011 until december 2022 I worked as a general practitioner in the group practice "Patio" in Jette.

Between 2018 and 2022 I followed the 4-year course "solution-focused cognitive system therapy" at the Korzybski Institute in Bruges.

Now a new challenge awaits me: From January 2023 I will set up a new practice in my hometown of Wemmel.

Over the years I have worked in the most diverse practices in three different provinces. In each of these places I learned a lot and gained valuable experiences. From this I get a lot of inspiration for my new practice.

In time, I hope that praxis will grow into a multidisciplinary group practice with several general practitioners and other primary care providers in a homely, personal atmosphere.

Here I want to accompany patients both as a general practitioner but also as psychotherapist with the solution-oriented approach.
